Lachan Simpson Unbelievably great album from the band at their height. Picking a favourite track is impossible - it's just the track that was on when I wrote this review. Favorite track: great escapes.

acb A majestic tour de force from a band at the height of its powers. Layers of angular Casiotone waveforms, percussion (chromatic and otherwise), skronky guitar and Laura's voice; at once fragile and powerful, all coming together in some finely crafted songs and propulsive grooves. The next best thing to having seen them tearing the roof off the Punters Club back in the day.
